We’re Featured in the Knot Again!

The new issue of The Knot Colorado Real Wedding is out and we’re on it again!

The wedding of Stacey and Chad in Vail last year is featured as one of only nine Colorado weddings. The Knot did a good job summarizing the nice details from their wedding and I’d love to share some of the romantic pictures of Stacey and Chad as well as the article. The wedding was very intimate with about 50 of their closest friends and family. Stacey has impeccable taste and everything was so beautiful. (And they choose my favorite colors too: Tiffany blue and chocholate!) What a great taste!!!

Here are the sweeties, Stacey & Chad.

Jennifer & Brett’s Wedding at the Oxford Hotel

We just had a wonderful wedding for Jennifer and Brett this weekend at the historic The Oxford Hotel.  Jenny and Brett are such a cute couple and we had such a blast with them and their gangs! It is said that your true colors shine through in times of stress and adversity. From gothic woods, to tattoos at the reception, you both shone so bright!

It was truly a joy to bear witness to such honest love for each other and those around you.

A lot of blessings to you both for the new journey together!

Such a beautiful bride, Jenny. You are radiant!

Naples Wedding – Rebecca & Jessy

Past few days were just amazing. Joyce and I traveled down to Tampa to meet up with Phillip Lloyd, a great photographer and friend. We went down to Naples Grande Beach Resort.

I am sitting down in the Tampa Airport terminal and waiting for Denver flight. It has been awesome trip to Naples and a great time with Phillip. Just want to post two images from the Rebecca and Jessy’s Day After session:

More to come later… I am boarding now. Thank you for everything, Phil!

Love the Dress Session

Love the Dress session

Wow, Joyce and I loved the “Love the Dress” session yesterday on the top of Mt. Evans with five beautiful brides.

The session was suggested by one of our last year’s bride, Tara, who referred us to her friend and her twin sister this year, Debbi and Tonya. At Tonya’s wedding, she approached me with the idea of “Trash the Dress” session.

She wanted to have a session of “Trash the Dress” session with all of her friends (five of them in total). All of them married within 3-5 years (including three of them this year alone). But some of them had reservation about “trashing” the dress, since they absolutely love their dresses.

So, I had a chance to talk with them about the idea of a “Love the Dress” session. The session is really about the freedom to do the following:

  • freedom to go to any location that you might never think of going to on your wedding day
  • freedom to share your excitement with your close friends
  • freedom from any worries – no schedule, no family members, no stress
  • freedom to “Love” the dress one more time and get great photographs

So our “Love the Dress” session is similar in concept to what is known as a “trash the dress” session, but with one major difference - completely damaging your dress is not cool.

Here are images from the session. Thank you so much to Penny, Brenda, Deborah, Tonya and Tara. You guys were awesome. Specially when we were at the summit lake near the top of Mt. Evans which sits at 13,001 feet (3,963 m), all of you bear the near 40F temparature to take awesome photographs.

Studio JK Blog – Newly Developed!

Welcome to our new blog!

Our old version (www.studiojk.com/pblog) was a good way to showcase our photos one at a time, but since Joyce and I have had such a great time lately - we wanted to post more than one photo from our sessions.

Our goal with this new format, is to display multiple photos at a time and to feature our awesome clients. In addition, we will be including information on the vendors used and as many of the details on the event as possible!

We would love to hear from you and share the excitement, so please let us know what you think!

with love,

Studio JK Photography
