Wow, Joyce and I loved the “Love the Dress” session yesterday on the top of Mt. Evans with five beautiful brides.
The session was suggested by one of our last year’s bride, Tara, who referred us her friend and her twin sister this year, Debbi and Tonya. At Tonya’s wedding, she approached me with the idea of “Trash the Dress” session.
She wanted to have a session of “Trash the Dress” session with all of her friends (five of them total). All of them married within 3-5 years (including three of them this year alone). But some of them had reservation about “trashing” the dress, since they absolutely love their dresses.
So, I had a chance to talk with them about the idea of “Love the Dress” session. The session is really about the freedom;
- freedom to go to any location that you might never think of going on your wedding day
- freedom to share your excitement with your close friends
- freedom from any worries – don’t have to worry about any schedule or other family members
- freedom to “Love” the dress one more time and get great photographs
So our “Love the Dress” session is almost same concept as “trash the dress” session with one difference. Getting dirty to get awesome photographs is cool, but completely damaging dress is not cool.
Here are images from the session. Thank you so much to Penny, Brenda, Deborah, Tonya and Tara. You guys were awesome. Specially when we were at the summit lake near the top of Mt. Evans which sits at 13,001 feet (3,963 m), all of you bear the near 40F temparature to take awesome photographs.
